Finite-field evaluation of the Lennard-Jones atom-wall interaction constant C_3 for alkali-metal atoms

A finite-field scaling method is applied to evaluate the Lennard-Jonesinteraction constant C_3 for alkali-metal atoms. The calculations are based onthe relativistic single-double (SD) approximation in which single and doubleexcitations of Dirac-Hartree-Fock wave functions are included to all orders inperturbation theory.
